Massive gaps expected, this is the day INEOS and Carapaz strike. From now on UAE will have one leader, but today might me funny watching the drama unfold live.

Visma Yates takes this. He will peak this week. Rog is going home today. Ayuso blows. Verona will be there too. Great stage.

What was to be the most boring grand tour for years has now turned into the most exciting to watch thanks to Bernal, Carapaz and Deltoro👏🤝
Let's hope it stays exciting after today! But I'm optimistic that Carapaz will keep things exciting. Hoping for Simon yates and Bernal, too, but I kinda fear they'll be worse off after today.

Should be rainy and cold at the top of s Barbara; Giau 2021 incoming, maybe with live coverage this time.
Giau is more than 1000m higher and still had plenty of snow at the top back than.
It's 20°C in Arco, it will probably be around 14°C at the top of S Barbara and with rain definitely not comfortable conditions but not comparable to really cold weather.

So what's this stuff I'm hearing on Eurosport about a possible neutralization due to the weather today?

Wet cobbles and gravel stages are good... wet descents from cols are bad. Okay.

Don't forget Lucas Hamilton.

Wait and see for Red Bull today.
Pellizzari told us they don't know whether Roglic is recovered and they will ride accordingly.

Unfortunately I think Bernal will have used too many bullets by the end and crack at some point, but his showing has been a massive improvement from his last GT.

Doesn’t look like one where satellite riders are a massive help unless they attack very early?

Only issue I can think of is fog. RAI reporting visibility is <50 mt at the finish right now. Hopefully weather has improved by the time they reach Santa Barbara.

I'm glad they are finally utilizing the climbs in the Rovereto/ Lake Garda area, you can have an low altitude queen stage with no chance of snow or cancelation ect.

Bad weather. While it is good for the drama, it's a shame it's so bloody hard to tell who's who in all those black rain jackets.
Rider attacking - Bernal
Rider going really really fast without dropping anyone- carapaz
Rider getting dropped - roglic
Rider with stupid helmet - Simon Yates
Rider responding to every single acceleration - de toro
Rider descending really well - caruso
Rider chasing de Toro - Ajuso
Rider who is just there in the background and never does anything useful - Mcnutly

Migels: 1016km are left to race.
Eisel: So let's pay attention when it's only 1000km left. Jensi can you do that, you know I can't calculate.
Jensi: Let's just say it's MANY kilometers left VERY MANY!
