Wasn't such a long attack, and he's a pretty good descender, didn't have to pull on the flat, has put stress on the opposition. Could still work, even when caught, on the next climb. It's third week Carapaz afterall.

yeah, it does seem that way. But it was a way to see if Del Toro would show additional cracks in his armor (which didn't happen). Probably should just soft pedal until caught and then try again on that steep 3 km
