Visma won't mind. They have a plan for this stage, and they are just going to execute it. At the finish line, McNulty won't have a 8 minute lead.
The intelligent move for UAE here, is to do nothing in the peloton.

Unfortunately EF will probably go to work if the break gets above 5-6 minutes, but if they kept their cool, both teams could actually force Visma to do all the work, to keep the break in range.

However it's all a moot point, when Polti is apparently being punished for missing the move

There's actually a bunch of teams which should be unhappy about the four visma riders in the break. Like, if Carapaz drops Yates on the Mortirolo these guys will kill every teammate he might have with him on the flat

UAE absolutely need to make sure Visma don't have 2 helpers with Yates after Mortirolo.

McNulty is not a serious candidate for the podium so Visma don't have to care about him.

With this break there should be no doubt that the Mortirolo should be absolutely nuked. Most GC riders have team mates up the road that should be strong enough to make it to the top of Mortirolo if peloton takes it easy on Tonale. Well, not everyone - because Del Toro doesnt have a domestique up front...

there should be a decent chance that the winner comes from the peloton. As long as McNulty is in the break, the gap will not go out massively, and riders like Pellizzari have a lot of good doms up there.
