Vacek best time at T1.
Let's see if the wind is really slowing riders down in the second part.

All the more brilliant the final riders start 3 minutes apart. It does appear that the headwind has picked up quite a bit on that second section. Everyone in the last half hour has struggled there.
Tbf not exactly a look you want to be trying nowadays riding around in Europe. Less he plays into it, the betterDisappointing to see that McNulty still hasn't done the Captain America's shield paint job on his disc wheel.
Bissegger has beaten Ganna in that same TT, but fine, we can ignore him.Don't think putting a second per kilometre into Bissegger on a really particular route is that special.

Because he’s too light? Not gonna lie I'd be very surprised if Roglic top 3s this.
Bissegger was a better rider a few years ago.Bissegger has beaten Ganna in that same TT, but fine, we can ignore him.
It was the worst route imaginable for Pogacar. He out 1.5 s/km into Pogacar, then.
This TT, for starters. Even if he hangs on, he and the rest of the blob (to the extent they are present) are very bunched up. Without the wind picking up he would probably have lost to Vacek too.Beyond the Vuelta/Worlds performances, which do not fit within the rest of his career, I don't think there's any Tarling TT performances which suggest he's actually within the 'blob' behind Ganna and Remco.
That, and that I'd expect him to not start the Giro completely flying. His Vuelta stage 1 TT wouldn't put him top 3 here I think and in 2023 his Giro stage 1 ITT was also poor.Because he’s too light?
Or he is/was peaking too early and will be running on fumes by the 3rd week. That's impressive from Storer. Man might actually have a legit chance at GC
I'm not really sure what role Nairo plays now on the team but as long as he has one and isn't taking faster riders' spot I'm still glad to see him.You prefer to see legends of the past riding anonymously as pack fodder?
