The only scenario by which Visma and EF will have the horses for a proper attack is for the break to win ahead, UAE have every reason to slowly crawl to the bottom.

Not only that, Carapaz wasn't that superior on Tuesday either. Del Toro failed.
Carapaz gained only 15 seconds on Gee and a few more on Simon. Pellizzarri finished before Carapaz.

Del Toro finished behind Caruso or Bernal, who aren't in the physical shape to win the Giro.

It was more a poor performance from Del Toro than a superiority from Carapaz.
So today it seems that Carapaz's pink victory depends on Del Toro having another bad climb.
An explosion doesn't happen at Prudhomme's pace; yesterday Majka was at a slower pace than the Prudhomme. That happens by attacking far from the summit of Finestre.

Well, my take is that Tues was Carapaz's best day, Del Toro's worst. Now since then Carapaz's attacks have been ineffective, while Del Toro won a stage and convincingly matched him yesterday, it thus seems the Equadorian doesn't have the heavy artilliary now to drop the possibly growing Mexican. But Finestre will doubtless give us the truth.
