I don't know if it's really disappointing, why would they have done it? To go for the stage, okay, but other than that what for? They won't drop Roglic and tomorrow isn't a stage to wear people down for today already.

Tomorrow is a rest day so recovery shouldn't have been an issue.

Roglič is likely the strongest rider but UAE has the numbers so I think they should have send Vine up the road to try to get back some of the time he lost.

Yeah this is so strange. The entire time he's been looking as if he was in no hurry whatsoever
Clearly he followed the attack hoping it could be an opportunity, then he realized it's a nothingburger and he's just following and not wasting much more energy

It's unfortunate Trek wanted to control the stage--certainly Bora would not have tried to control so we could have had a much more interesting break situation and some attacks on the climb. Perhaps they will get their just desserts and Mads will lose the sprint.
