I never understood how sports and drinking was to be combined tbh and I believe at hockey arena there's not a lot of drinking, it's in some pubs. But when winning national series we're riding around honking hanging out the windows of our cars and police allowing it as they're as happy

I'm not as much of a hockey fan as my heart rate couldn't handle when I was too emotionally invested in a team

For years race registration was done at bars or cafes in Belgium.
So athletes go in pay, exchange license for a number, people inside smoking and drinking..
And go to velodrome events, often marginal live music, lots of guzzling booze and beer..bikes, beer,booze often a good combo..
Cyclocross weather often requires drinking antifreeze. Hockey fans drink plenty of beer as a rule!! Baseball fans also..

It was really smart for Van Aert to let go left instead of right, because it stopped Pedersen from getting off Kooijs wheel in time and then he got boxed in along the barrier.
