Awww... So cute. If you're going to have blind, unquestioning belief in something, with no rational basis for doing so, join the Catholic Church.

I don't mind you making a point but that post is a little offensive to some people who may believe in Catholicism

No surprise Cav won. He was fresher after the rest day + the final Etna climb.

It looks like Petacchi just lost second place because he did his usual "I'm not going to win so I may as well coast across the finish line" crap.

I hate this attitude: winning is everything, so it's not even worth trying to get second place. It's bad for bike racing.

This arrogance is the main reason I'm never happy to see Petacchi win a race.

I see what you did there.

Makes for an easier sprint when you have a perfect leadout from the 2nd best sprinter in the race. Cav needs to thank Ale for that.

It wasn't quite perfect - he took him across the road - his mistake was not then switching direction before Cav cut back to the right, then again the other way, as many times as necessary.

Cav wins as expected.

There was no way he was going to blow his 2nd last opportunity to break his winless run. Interesting that Renshaw went to the front early and was done just after 1km to go. Cav was on Petacchi's wheel so I guess there was no more help needed.

Why do people always bang on about Kristoff anyway?

Because ACF always believes in him, and it's funny to observe how Kristoff always fails.

Other than that I couldn't give a damn about some meaningless, fourth-rate sprinter.

That's sprinters for you. Second place is a loss for most of them. They have to have that kind of 'win or nothing' mentality to be able to go elbow-to-elbow at 70km/h.

Meh, I think you are being a little nasty and over the top. It seems sad that you need to go so far to denigrate someone.

Meh, Kristoff probably has one of the worst results/attention ratios in this forum.

And you're responsible for it.

so you think it is a nice thing to say someone is fourth rate, meaningless and saying that they always fail?

This is an internet forum. People don't come here to be nice, in case you haven't noticed.

Regardless, should TOAK win something, I will ease off in my criticism of him.

It would be a close 2nd with tgbm.

Armstrong still #1.

And we've eased off on talking about TGBM, even if he's ridden some perfectly decent races so far this year.
