and those guys on the motorbikes, the commasaires? didnt look like they cared at all.

Was it the Tour of Cali or Tour of MO where a club racer jumped into the peloton and rode unnoticed for a few K?

Kelly talking about car order and how to skip the queue at an important section. Possible explanation for Riis' conspicuous bike changes with Canc and Contador?

They said he was holding on to team cars to get over Etna within the time limit. Of course Kelly says that its just sour grapes because Cavendish being a good english speaking rider and all could probably win a mountain stage if he reall wanted to.

Kelly didn't say anything remotely like that.

Like all of the British Eurosport commentators, he talks more about anglophone riders than most others because that's part of his job. But as far as his own prejudices go, he's always left me with the vague impression that he's more interested in Flemish riders than Brits or Yanks.

You got to love the Giro.. I miss the years when the tifosi relay themselves to push the Pink jersey up the hills so he wouldn't leave the shoulders of their favorite..

Kristoff is going to win!

We all live in hope! Slightly uphill for the last 10km which may eliminate Cavendish.

I also woke up because my teeth are killing me from dental work. :(

Shame about the teeth - but don't let the pain killers cloud your judgement, that gradient is 1%, peaking at 1.3% in the last 5km, and then a 4% ramp after the sprint starts - it will affect people psychologically more than physically.

A head wind effectively makes air resistance a greater proportion of the total wattage requirement than it otherwise would be, given the gradient, and thus plays in to Cav's hand, given his advantage is being far more aerodynamic, rather than far more powerful.
