Euskaltel DS has just pretty much confirmed on Spanish Eurosport that Contador and Anton talked the other day and Euskaltel helped Contador in exchange for yesterday's stage.

You just wait til Fedaia.

Anyway, Contador was done over by Antón, Mosquera and Soler last April, it can be done without him having the hunger knock.

I remember the race well. It was April. And from what I recall he didn't crack, just decided that he wasn't going to follow Anton's attack since he could best him on the final day's TT. Which he did. And it was April.

the theory may be true like he didnt look that strong on the stage with the col de madeleine or the queen stage of tour 2009 with the 4 cat 1 climbs. mind me i might be wrong

Is that wishful thinking or what? Contador rides wheels today.

Here I go, asking something similar to my usual question for mountain stages, as most of you on here watch more races and know the riders better than me:

Which of the riders in the front group do you think is the most suited to the final climb (+ looking strong today), hence will have the best chance FTW?

Apparently someone tried to hit Contador on the Zoncolan à la Eddy Merckx. Probably was just terribly afraid of the crowds to do anything on the Zoncolan.

Stage 17? You definitely are wrong on that one. That's the stage where Brothers Schleck were trying their best to drop him and he counter-attacked and Kloden imploded. AC was fine and went on to crush the final TT.

Garzelli saved some energy the last few stages, so I think he is fresh, but Nieve looked very strong the past two stages.

If Hoogerland had half a brain he'd be a pretty good cyclist, damn shame he seems to be lacking even a flicker of tactical understanding.
