I'll say this Nibali deserves a lot of credit for how he rode today. More than any other "contender" he took the fight to AC.

Nieve looks absolutely gone. I won't be surprised to see Contador win this. Not at all.

That would be awful. Nothing against contador, but come on. Where's sella now, by the way somewhere in between?

Contador doesn't need the time but what he is doing is smart. He's putting in the work now and forcing his opponents in a latter stage to share the work. Maybe if he gets 5 plus minutes, or even more, on everyone, they'll stop attacking like Nibali did earlier. Maybe they'll cruise to Milan?

2nd place is still up for grabs.

the stage win is ofcourse not in motion for contador, that nieve ..

and likely that contador is only focusing on taking time, and for a good reason,,a stage win is what it is..

Absolutely. He's just not as good, but he keeps trying.

Aupa Mikeeeeeeeelllllllllllllll

This has been one of the rides of the season. Dropped with over 50km to go, and almost all of the way back solo, riding solo over Fedaia (dropped Bakelandts early), catching on descent and flat then crushing on the final climb. This DESERVES the win. Garzelli will have the Cima Coppi and the KOM jersey, and he deserves that. Both deserve to have something big out of today's efforts.
