For all those making the numbers for the final ITT, probably the best reference is the last ITT of the Vuelta 2009. Evans took 53" seconds to Basso on 27.5 km of hilly terrain. IIRC there was an elevation difference of more than 250m between lowest and highest point at that ITT.

I think it is now fair to say that if Markus Fothen is on a doping program, he's doing it wrong.
Even good dopers can have bad racing days. :D

I like some of the comments btw, its a great addition to the live ticker. I suppose the fanboy comments inbetween keep it even more interesting :p

Fothen has spent the last few years in the autobus, if he's charging, he needs a refund IMO.

Yes, but Basso is obviously in much better form this year.
My prediction: 40" maximum

Excatly, his doctor is most definitely not going to be the next Ferrari.

(((For the record, I don't have a clue if he's doping or not, I just find the oxymoron of a bad doper funny. :D )))

haha if you think I actually get my 'knickers in a knot' over what you say, you are unfortunately wrong. I was merely pointing out how childish you look at times :) It's the internet, I'm not gonna get offended by some immature antics. Enough said.

you keep on replying! you do buddy! you crack the ****s and have to reply to everyone of my posts.

Maybe he's on slightly better form, but in the Vuelta he was also consistently stronger uphill than Evans. Don't know if there's much of a difference, the field is just slightly weaker. It's still possible for Evans to take a minute on Basso in the TT.

lol your intelligence never ceases to amaze me. You say im angry, and craking it etc, for merely replying to your posts in a sensible manner? (mainly race and tactics related, and when you have nothing intelligent to post you say something like 'lol i like baiting timmy and dutchies') You are very delusional. All I replied was how immature and childish you are, and that is a fact, not irrational posting ;)
And I'm not cracking it haha, never swore, didn't resort to name calling etc. Just pointing out that you look foolish when you post . Your constant rubbish posting and childish antics reflects poorly on your maturity.
Maybe post something that actually contributes to discussion for once :)

And I reply, because it takes little to no effort :)
Grow up kiddo ;)

Maybe... a lot of these riders will be very tired also, hard to know how they will react.
Safe to assume though, that basso wont be comfortable with what he has on Evans.
