OK, it's deadly dull, but Eurosport are taking my will to live.
7 ad breaks in the 50 minutes of live coverage.

ES always try and cram as many ads as they can into the start of coverage so that they can show the important bits uninterrupted.

Anyone who lives in eastern Canada who relies on this site for race updates should turn on Sportsnet.

They're showing the race live.

This is almost as boring as the Pacquiao fight last night. But at least this is free.

Of course, I'm gonna get jumped on for saying it's boring, because some people like sprints and I shouldn't complain about them because some people like them.

But I'm sorry, this is really, really boring. I've seen more exciting stages in the Tour Down Under.

Me too, and I did already. ;)

At least the scenery is nice in the Giro though.

Do you have a S&M dungeon at home?

There's F1, cricket, football and plenty else on, but you sit down to something you know will bore you.

4 days of dunkirk too... it's amazingly obvious what was going to happen in this stage of the giro, just tune in for the sprint.

Latest rumour in the #Giro. Mark Cavendish on his way to BMC and takes HTC with him!

Would be quite ballsy/stupid by Cavendish imo. He's got it totally made at HTC, who know how well BMC can work for him? And I suppose he could easily make up the difference in income in sponsorship money by winning a couple extra TDF stages, or not? BMC can't pay him that much more, can they? Maybe just negotiation stuff.

I already watched the F1, and footballers throwing themselves on the floor every handful of seconds doesn't float my boat.

It looked like a borefest before I went to watch the F1, and I came back from watching the F1 to find nothing had changed whatsoever in those 2 hours.

When you only have a third of your stages at weekends when you have the larger audience, this feels like a huge waste.

Doesn't seem to do the F1 much harm to be consistently mindnumbingly boring despite having their races on weekends.

Well, the stage money is for the team not for the rider. And it isn't a lot either. So if he really get's decently paiyed better, he had a financial reason to change teams.
Still, the Idea seems to be stupid.

Oh well, we discussed what a huge waste this route was when they announced it. It is what it is, it hasn't deviated from expectations.

Save your complaining for when they soft pedel the 37th mountain stage.
