then i thought wait surely it must be on eurosport 2... but no.. there showing only 45 minutes till 15.15 and then there showing beach soccer. WOW. Anyone have a eurosport executive address so i can visit him and beat him to death?

It's up on the SKY site now. Froome's saying his knee was bust and he was trying to get to the feedzone so he could DNF there, and to get to the feedzone he hung onto a police motorbike. Sounds a bit like spin to me, but then again, I admit I'm not exactly Sky's biggest fan.

to be fair to chris, there were tv pics of him early in the stage looking absolutely screwed, and he was down as a retirment on one of the text feeds prior to actually retiring. sounds like if you are going to hang onto a bike a police bike wouldnt be most subtle thing to hang onto.
