From joy on Saturday to misery on Monday
well they did nothing wrong at all, they were basically controlling everything and had everyone at the front until the crash.

Bruseghin loses 7 minutes in the Dutch Dolomites.

edit: did I say 7? I meant 8, of course.

Every chance we wont see him again this race, he looked very uncomfortable on the floor.

Pretty wicked stage overall.

After all, hats off for Vino who really fought to not lose time today. Almost all day he sat between to front 10 riders.

Vino didn't do anything he was just lucky enough to not be near any of the crashes

It's not just luck, you know. The guy is just incredibly strong in this kind of stage.

How many times have Sky crashed from the front of the peloton? Only a matter of time before poor Cuddles got caught up in one. At least he has an excuse now.

Nice sprinting by Bruiser, fought like a ***** for Greipel's wheel, served him right!

Never seen anything like this, a three week race on these roads would be ridiculous! Unfortunately Lance would win as he's EXPERIENCED and a SUPERIOR BIKE HANDLER.

Would love to see Saxo win the TTT and get Porte in Pink, don't think they've got a shot vs HTC though.

Imagine the whinning by Cuddles and Wigans, it is going to be epic!
They have every right to whine, the final was ridiculous. Although maybe Evans could have done with a slightly better team... what with his entire team finishing in the last group.

This is where you are wrong, no matter how good you are at dodging falls there is only 1 safe place and that is leading the front group. Any other position and all it takes is the guy in front of you to fall and thats it.

Evans by the looks of things didn't even fall yet still lost 47 seconds, being held up by people falling in front was enough to split him from the main group, even Vino the doper can't ride over the top of 10 bikes laying on the road.

The guy on RAI tv (Sgarbozzi) was saying Evans "non ha una squadra" - he doesn't have a team. A bit harsh, but it's hard to argue with the images of Evans pulling that group in himself.

Vino deserves credit for staying up front and out of trouble, certainly, but Wiggins and Evans were staying up front and out of trouble too, and still ended up on the deck, so I think it's unfair to say there is not an element of luck to Vino's performance.

Good showing by Liquigas and Astana, good selection of their riders still on front.
Great showing of Porte so far in this Giro. Will have a great possibility with contract negotiations.

Good showing again with Modolo too bad he crashed. Hope it isn't too bad and we'll see him in other stages. Was probably the only rider from Colnago that was still on front. I shall now dub him, the new Freire :D

BAD BAD showing by BMC, Cadel really needs to fear for the TTT, that he doesn't lose his entire chance of a good GC with that.
Sastre has already lost baout two minutes no, wonder if he'll win enough in the TTT to maintain it at least managable.

All in all, really looking forward to this stage in the Tour the France, hope they'll take quite a lot of the same ride, especially the Paronama-weg (the higher road near the beach) will make for really interesting racing
