I am pretty sure HGH and Garmin will be doing everything they can to kill any breaks or anything that looks like it might be anything other than a bunch sprint.

It is the kind of stage that illustrates exactly why Race Radios should be banned and why Vaughters is bad for cycling as a spectator sport.

Usually Farrar would have no problem. He climbs better than most sprinters.

But given his horrible form...

Ale -Jet is definetly the favourite though Itwould be cool if someone like Visconti got up. Shame ballan isn't racing in this race as he would of like this stage.

I think Kristoff will take this one!

He showed decent form today and I think this type of finish really suits him!

Not without the clinic stuff if we can believe his supplier.

You say the type of finish suits him.... based on what now exactly? Pardon me for wondering.

Purito's probably the premiere puncheur participating.

This may be true, but I highly doubt he'll be interested in vying for the win on a relatively flat stage 3 when he has ambitions for the overall. Even if he did want to win the stage, I don't really think it suits him. This is better suited to a Visconti or that type, someone with a better finishing kick. I really don't think these climbs will be much of a problem and would not be surprised to see a group of 40-60 coming to the line.

Can anyone tell me roughly what time today's stage will finish? Preferably in Australian Eastern Standard time (GMT + 10 hours). :D

I've gotta go out tonight, so I'm obviously gunna try to get home in time to watch the end. Thanks

Its on eurosport from 12 so I'd say about 115-130

Most giro stages will finish between 1-130 AEST. Some may go a bit longer but 95% of them will finish within that time frame. So if it's a boring sprint stage you're best putting on the footage at about 1245

perfect for vino if he was here. Watch out for those people who finished behind the peloton they would be in the break hopefully they will make it all the way.
