And Szmyd still beat him in a sprint.

The only guy to ever beat Valverde in a one on one sprint

That was clemency. Valverde had to do a deliberate "Petacchi" to let Szmyd win.

This is Hitch's running gag. Come on, let him have his Polish pride.

More like a running nag.

Moondance said:
Certainly he's allowed to have Polish pride, however in light of this comment:

I feel obliged to tease.

Ha! :)

Break:

Visconti, Pineau, Canuti, Bak and Montaguti.

Wot, no BMC up there? I am shocked.
Doomed break of the day, since Montaguti is only 2 minutes down in the GC.

Nationality aside, Bak looks in a damn good mood today, I still think the hill is too steep for him, but I don't think they should give them too much leesh :)

And I'll never enjoy a Sella victory again not after what he did to me in that 2008 Giro :(

I'll try my best if you do your part as well. History shows that it usually drags on and on, so don't patronize me.

Oh noes!

I had such high hopes for this Danielson kid, but I'm starting to fear that he'll never be able to fulfill his potential.

This was too easy.

I kinda like most off topics on this forum. But the football stuff was starting to annoy me as well.

One of the reasons I like it here is because people talk about cycling instead of football. If I'd want to hear about ****ing football I'd just go to a random other place and be satisfied.

Damn it, now I'm doing it to myself as well...

Doesnt look like they will let them run.

In these kind of stages, there is almost no chance for breakaways to be sucessfull. There are at least 15 riders from at least 7 teams that got a shot today.
