Not according to the UCI, who, as the body that registers the contracts, should know.

Same UCI which lists Jack Bobridge (GRM) in his second pro season as neo-pro but which doesn't list Ramunas Navardauskas (GRM) in his first pro season as neo-pro? Yeah, they should know. :D

You sign your first pro contract -> you're a neo-pro in your first season.

You sign a stagiaire contract -> you're stagiaire from August 1 til the end of season.

You're riding your second pro season -> you're riding your second pro season. You're not a neo-pro anymore.

It's as simple as that.

You're making the assumption that Basso was doping, I just made a link between the two races. It's you that should go to the Clinic.

Think the reason for his post was that you used the word "extraterrestrial" which in 2006 was used by Simoni to indicate that Basso was doped. When I saw you use that word I also thought u were trying to make a doping connection with Basso and Contador.

I never said the UCI stick to the rules they make themselves.

I agree that you're really only a neo-pro in your first year, but according to the rules you're one in the first two years (and apparently, not even the people doing the registering at UCI know that).

I think he will get a penalty (likely a 20s penalty and a minor fine), I'm sure RCS are well aware that Garzelli won't be part of the top10 GC in Milano anyway.

And a 20s penalty along with a 200 swissfranc fine it was!
