He almost certainly has done?

How is your team's main rate Tiago Machado?
Bit harsh isn't it ?

Dekker_Tifosi said:Sounds like Machado is the 2nd Remmert Wielinga... afraid to ride in peloton
Dekker_Tifosi said:There is a section of 15% in that 600m at 8%
It's exactly the same hill as in 2005
You want to know the result?
1. Bettini (blew everyone away
2. McEwen +0.03s
then a mix of GC riders and sprinters. A lot of gaps in the peloton, halfway the peloton gap was even 30 seconds.
The thing was, everyone expected a sprint, and the only puncheur in front was Bettini, the GC riders didn't expect anything. So the only riders who could go with Bettini, were too far behind to react. They did overtake many of the sprinters though
Ferminal said:I just saw Cassani's preview, it definitely looks different to 2005. They hit the climb, turn right, then a small run towards a left hand hairpin and after that looks to be the steepest part.

This is at par with, well, Paris-Nice: You have a lot to learn Thiago (although in a more harsher and brutal kind of way)
And they told us that a special "someone" was a bad teammate when attacking a special "someone" in the mountains. How will it sound this time around you might wonder? Now they have bad team spirit for real. Talk about back-stabbing
Was is it with Bruyneel governed team and bad-mouthing anyway?
Libertine Seguros said:He's never truly had to ride in the péloton before. He used to attack almost every day in Portugal. I think he has little confidence in his bike handling skills too, he's not a particularly bad bike handler, he's just not too sure of himself just yet. I'm thinking more Mosquera and Moncoutié than Wielinga, but it's not a bad comparison per se.
Parrulo said:really harsh words by popo. he could tell that to machado himself and give him some advice since he is a more experienced rider instead of going to the press. still there will be no peloton in the dolomites just small groups so i guess he will do just fine there![]()
Dekker_Tifosi said:The reason I'm drawing the comparison with Wielinga is that, before Wielinga did a grand Tour, he never had trouble even though of his fear of riding in the peloton.
But in Grand Tours, it all becomes more hectic and riders who are insecure get scared..
taiwan said:TBH his bike handling won't matter much on the Zoncolan.
