Hondo is nowhere near as fast as he once was. When he was quick he wasn't a great climber, good enough for San Remo etc. He's more of a domestique du luxe now who can climb a bit and leadout, a bit like O' Grady.

Further up the post some one mentioned the Steephill TV site, I'm watching it on Gazzetta until British eurosport get off their fat arses- it's usually a good stream.

Discussion. If Nibali fails to win Giro this year (probable) will he continue going for the Giro next year or will he try the Tour?

What if he does win.

I wonder about this. Id like to think he would continue going for his home race, especially since together with Basso, hes pretty much the biggest italian star. Hes the one they are hyping up most, Giro is his home race, its where his fans are at, and he might want to conitnue doing it until he wins.

Ha! Countries litterally arguing over whose **** is bigger.

Tbf thought theyve got a point. Teide is kind of in Africa.

Reminds me though, Vuelta should visit Canary Islands.

Ive seen the first movie before. Hell they had it last week, and will 90% have a 5 set encounter in 3 weeks. Thats not taking into account all the hard court matches they played in the last few months.

Etna on the other hand is once every 30 years. (well twice every 30 years, kind of)

I think Nibali will always be a Giro rider whether he wins it or not. He doesn't have what it takes for the Tour. He might turn into another Simoni or something.

He is better suited to the Tour. The Giro has steeper climbs and less TT kms (at least the last two years).

The Gazzetta feed is invariably the best one, I usually have that up with Eurosport commentary when it starts :)

The Italian feed worked for me except it was about 1.5 K behind real time.

Got my Universal Sports live coverage on TV now. :)
