Am I so jaded than when I saw the way TeeJay has been riding, he had the look of a completely clean rider?
I don't know about that, he was 5th on gc and one of the strongest riders in Romandie, probably the 2nd strongest right behind Richie and most of the early Giro stages weren't that hard to explain such a meltdown early on after a strong perfrmance in Romandie.
I still think something happened to him at the 2015 TdF when he had that massive meltdown, to me it looked like a bad blood bag.
Yeah, until that moment he certainly performed much better than in fact he is. Especially at the Dauphine already.

Since then, he's a complete shadow of his former self. He should at least be able to be 9th on gc.

Been really wondering as to what is the problem. So glad this came up. Was thinking of starting a thread.
Maybe being a father of two kids has given him some perspective, is what came to mind. He has gone from having to hold up and wait for Cadel, to this.
People are bashing him, but ala Cunego, targeting one days and shorter stage races might be his future.
Falling off of a cliff like this makes me think he's gone cleans.

Yes, back then it looked like he had taken it to the next level, he was also getting Froome-thin.

I'm really happy that there are a bunch of Austrians in visible roles in this Giro, but from a historical perspective it also makes me nervous.

Who knows what's real or not anymore, but I'm still hoping...

Fraile looked completely bogus...fakery is strong in this one
My thoughts too.

Animate the break, get dropped, catch up and outsprint, while holding off the peloton on a fairly hilly stage -- what's so odd about that?
Nothing as long as you're on CERA and riding for team Gerolsteiner. If not, wel, well ...
Idunno, de Bonis (the rider to whom you're obviously referring) was taken off the road by Gerolsteiner shortly after that because they thought he was too blatant. Which, for a team with Schumacher, Rebellin and Kohl, means he really was too blatant.

Very even performances, a race of attrition, riders visibly getting spent and having close to no matches to burn. By the looks of it, much more 'clean' than the clinic would want us to believe.

Much more clean or cleanER means little. Once you dope, it is doping.

How would we know what a clean, much more clean or cleanER race looked like since they dope, they have always doped and will always dope?

Pinot beating GC contenders two times in a row has to mean either that finally we have clean racing and Clinic forum can be officially closed or that he is more talented and training harder than dopers.

Meh, Pöstlberger two times on the podium is certainly a surprise, but he always was a strong roleur. Konrad even underperformed a bit i would say (definitely would see him on par with Hirt and Reichenbach) but is still doing well.

Preidler is and was always a good rider butwith working for TD he won't finish around his usual 30th place and couldn't go in to breaks obviously.

Großschartner and Mühlberger didn't really shine at all. Even though Mühlberger was Konrads best mountian domestique.

Marc Madiot FDJ, his boss, has history.

I appreciate this is off topic but I really don't know where to otherwise put it.

I see that the Giro coverage features access to rider's power data.

What is the Clinic's take on this? Eg is it the end of motors?
