God, Menchov looks so strong, he pulled Di Luca back so damn easily while the others were struggling.

That is why I think on Vesuvio or Blockhaus Menchov will cement his win.

Leipheimer looks weak when the Menchov or Di Luca drop the hammer.

Clearly, di Luca respects what Basso could pull of this last week. No other reason for going after him.

Yeah, this isn't the same Levi as last years Vuelta or the 2007 Tour.

Maybe he will get a blood refill on the rest day and have a miraculous increase in performance. :)

What the hell is going on, the Cervelo sports director commands Pauwels to wait for Sastre? Why on earth would they want to do that? He's looking so good for a stage win, while Sastre has nothing to gain

Why is Seeldrayers doing so much work? Has Løvkvist been dropped? The camera never stays with a group for more than 15 seconds, so it's quite difficult to see who's there.

Have to agree with that. It is rather confusing.

No, :D Alberto is having a heavy training session on the beach, beside a larger refrigerator, LOL.

I'm sad to see Basso caught. It would have made things very interesting the coming week if he could have grabbed some time.

:(

Basso and Garzelli caught again, so far for their attack. Let's just hope they don't pay the price for it tomorrow.

Pauwels has every right to be pi$$ed! Absolutely zero strategic value in dropping him back to help Sastre, who is very comfortable in the MR group!!!

It seems it was Sastre who asked his DS to tell Pauwels to wait for him at the top of the last mountain, because Sastre was isolated (Gustov crashed apparentely) and had to close the gap on Basso. Van Poppel has no television in his car, so he could not properly read the current race situation and made his unfortunate decision.

Sucks bigtime for Pauwels, what a blunder.

That was just bizarre.

Why the hell do they even report about the "Armstrong group"? What about the lead, the chasers, and the MR group instead?

Makes sense but, when he sees the video, he'll lose his mind.

this has to be the dumbest move in a long long time.

pauwels had the stage for sure.

van poppel is insane, basso and garzelli didn't stand a chance in the first place.

if i was pauwels i'd leave the race tonight.

/edit:

if anyone sees van poppel in a brand new mercedes in the near future, don't be surprised :p

Looks like Pauwels is coming back to Bertagnolli again, this time with more riders around him. Maybe he was ordered to save energy, and still end up with the stage win :)
