Emergency Cop runs down and kills teen with his cruiser
10/19/2010 12:34 PM | Rochester Police have identified the teen as 14-year-old Trayvone Pritchett of Rochester that was killed by one of their own. Family members say Pritchett was an eighth grader at John Marshall High School. A Police cruiser was headed northbound on North Clinton Avenue as the car approached the intersection of Hoeltzer Street, the teen bicyclist traveling westbound on to North Clinton Avenue from Hoeltzer Street, rode into the patrol car’s path.
Pritchett's sister, Shantaye Pritchette said, "He was taking his mom an anniversary card and birthday card. He didn't know it was going to end like this. This is a busy street, how can you be going that fast?"
Witness Pittman said the cruiser swerved around the northbound bus into oncoming traffic and struck the teenager. She recalled the force of the collision sending the teenager through the air and onto a parked SUV.
“His body just limped to the ground,” Pittman said.

Family members say the

School Bus pulling out of Burger King Struck, Killed Bicyclist
11:11 am EDT October 19, 2010 | JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Edith Gruhn, was riding her bike just before 5 p.m. when the bus exiting the parking lot of a Burger King struck her and ran her over. Gruhn was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there were no witnesses.
