Oops, sorry. I misremembered that answer, which means my process was fundamentally flawed and my conclusion (a rider who did retire in 2009, which is why I thought you had the same conclusion). So either Samu has a different rider in mind, who had a more famous father, or I was lucky in not noticing that my guy's first named team in PCS was not really a pro team. Two wrongs might have made me right.So is the guy we're looking for.

But Cofidis had slipped down to PCT level by the time Moncoutie retired, so I'm still sure it can't be him.
As I said, in this case two wrongs did make me right. I'll try to concentrate better next time.Oh, and the team he rode for pre-Cofidis was an espoir team, as it says in the name, and the TT3 level was the predecessor of the conti level, so doesn't count as part of a pro career for two reasons, IMO.
