Another option would be to hold the TTT as a relay.

All-in-all it's pretty simple:
The winner is the guy who crosses the line first, except when it isn't.

As for this series:
With the Climb it ended up making sense; the guy who crossed the line first was on the winning team.
With the Sprint, not so much. What place did Cannondale even end up in?
