The main Medellín newspaper, and hence Antioqueno newspaper (region where Carlos Alberto is from) - El Colombiano has Betancur

I see El Espectador use Betancourt, but they are from Bogota, where that surname is more common (eg that Woman who was kidnapped by FARC).

Interestingly Aqua e Sapone seem confused.
They have another variation - Betancour without the t

But in news articles its Betancur

cq has betancur though,

Oh and revistamundo ciclista

so it seems betancur is 90% the answer.

Which makes sense as former President Betlisario Betancur is from the same area.

Henao is quietly doing good at the Giro. I am liking it. Hope he does not explode on the last week. He has always been consistent.:)

He has adapted amazingly well to racing in Europe. Dare I say it - Ryo was right.

Yea, he didn't try any stupid attacks and is riding very consistently keeping to the leaders, saving his energy for 3rd week. I knew he was going do well and so far he's doing it. Although I'd have to say Uran is becoming stronger day by day too, I wonder who will work for who on Cervina.

What does he say?
He's feeling good. It's been some pretty hard and long stages, everyone trying aggressively to get to the front but they have a great team and blah blah blah. We'll see how everyone goes on the mountains. Basso and Scarponi are the top favourites. Rigo and he will try to fend for themselves and Rigo will try to do a good GC. White jersey? Well if it comes that's fine.

i think either him or Uran will top 10, but i don't think they'll both do it
I am afraid of this happening.

- Uran has a history of faulting on third weeks of GT's (without excuses). Especially the one that he was the main man.
- Henao is just on his first GT.

Having said that Henao has aways been consistent even if it is in shorter races.

I agree, but let's wait a little bit longer. They've been riding really boring on the mountain stages so far.

Yall can keep waiting, as you have been since the Henao hype train started years ago.

Keep waiting my friends. But as it aquires more and more passengers, you dont want it to be too packed by the time you come aboard.

Nailed it.

Well, let's just wait for this huge third week. But if there was any hope for a great GT Colombian rider from me, it was Henao.

to the sky management: It was not smart letting Henao work for Cavendish and (a bit) for Uran though!

Cav has 3 wins and wears red. Henao is nicely placed and wears white. All managed very nicely, I'd have thought.
