He's good in hilly time trials, but rather average in flat time trials. Definitely his weakest point as Valverde said so him self. He said he improved his time trial during his banishment, so something to look out for in the near future.

Also a time trial in the Tour is a totally different beast than a time trial in Pais Vasco.

acf didnt specify hilly or flat. he just said tt. though hasnt valvrde won a few pan flat prologues? As for tdf tts there is the long tdf like dauphine tt he won in 08 beating levi and cuddles (so cadel must suck too to be beaten by such a poor tter.

He won Alcobendas '07 ITT (9,7km), Burgos '07 TT (15km), Murcía '07 (23km), Dauphiné '08 TT (31km). He has some pretty good prologue results, but over his palmarès it seems that he gets his best results on mid-length TTs of 15-25, maybe 30 kilometres.

Why? Because he beat Armstrong? Not really something to cite as a reason, just suggests he got his mix more finely tuned that day!

Beautiful stagewin, good performance. Classy prepared.

Looking foward to the hilly classics. Will teach Gilberto some lessons. :)

You mean looking behind him after an attack when he drops Valverde? He already learned that last year when riding against the Schlecks.
