Not necessarily now, but perhaps once he retires.

I don't know how it works in Spain, but in Denmark the national coach is also overseeing the U23 team, which gives him more to do during the season.

He relied a bit too much on his sprint, true, but you can't watch the finale of LBL in 2015 and tell me with a straight face that he didn't have an inkling as to how to play things.

Imagine being a rider used to your DS yelling at you to push for the win, give everything.

And then you get Valverde telling you to relax and save your legs for the sprint for second. It will be a bit of a culture shock!
