That didn't take long. Time for an edit war. Just keep reverting it, then apply for page protection, and in the meanwhile someone email me a scan of a hard copy of the sanction announcement and I'll get it on a non-blog site that can be cited as a legit reference...

Do you mean a scan of the actual magazine?!

Ahhh, so that is why Armstrong's Wikipedia page is so biased. It is filled with subtle and not so subtle distortions. I remember things like the page mentioning that Dr. Ferrari conviction was reversed, implying that he was innocent, but in reality he got off because of the statute of limitations and the judge made it clear that he was guilty.
and if you change even one word it is undone by the geeks who make a living from being paid by people to look after their wiki pages and who know the wiki rules and regulations inside out. If you change it back they block you for "vandalism"..

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. But I put a call in to VeloNews to see if they had it in their issue at that time, and tomorrow I'll call USA Cycling and ask them to confirm or deny it, at which point one would have a direct first person source, so...

I placed a coke boogar in Levi's nose in the second picture on his wiki page.

So far it has not been edited out. Fingers crossed.

Wow!
I just went to check the cocaine booger in Levi's nose...The booger is still there, BUT,

it's true!
The page has been edited from 4-5hours previous and there is no sign of a doping infraction...that i read about earlier

almost as if it's a conspiracy!

yeah, yeah- 'I told you so' many might say....it's different witnessing manipulation of info first hand

the only thing I saw at the top of the page was this:

This page is currently protected from editing because excessive violations of the biographies of living persons policy.
See the protection policy and protection log for more details. Please discuss any changes on the talk page; you may use the {{editprotected}} template to ask an administrator to make the edit if it is supported by consensus. You may also request that this page be unprotected.

Wonder when they will release it again. Anyone familiar with the wiki editing process?

Ha I even managed to go to te discussion page and there is a lot of 'talk' on the veracity of the source.

@bradwiggins
As for the salut, well it'll give the cycling forum users something to do for the evening!

Hey Brad, why don't you start posting some results up and then we'll be able to see what real stuff your made of the 2nd time around.

If only Brad could produce a result worth discussing on a cycling forum :D

It seems someone had a word in Cav's ear that what he did wasn't nice. Good to know that somewhere, someone has a bit of control over him.

Another case for toto, I think.

Wiggins' statements have to be classed differently depending on the time of day they're made.

This one was past lunchtime.

Gee, thats the most I've ever enjoyed Wiki Ever. thanks gents.

For what it's worth, wouldn't USADA be able to confirm/deny this infraction also?

And this bit made me laugh:

From Wiki Talk said:
"Levi moonlighted as a male erotic dancer to make ends meet during his high school years, biking is expensive."

Is there any reference confirming this claim?

Is there really any substance to this claim? I LOL'd anyway:D

After this we should fix some of the errors on Armstrong's page. I remember a bogus weight loss being listed, one that looked like they used Dr. Coyle's highest weight from an early season of the early 90's and the lowest post-cancer in-season weight. That alone is misleading. There is also the SCA arbitration where Armstrong admitted that he only lost one or two kilos. I thnk the SCA weight loss info is contained in an LA Times article that was written when the SCA material leaked.

You could try changing it Bro but try reading the wiki talk on Lance

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Lance_Armstrong

It is most likely in all the clutter there.

There are actually 3 whole archive talks on Lance. See near the top where it says archive 1, 2, 3. It seems there are alot of people who have tried to make changes and ammendments to the LA wiki and because of that there has been much discussion and even arguments

Me too, I had to double check what page I clicked on. Great addition, even if only on the talk page.

Radio Shrek are just not credible. I tried to find them on the cartoon network but I was blocked as the rugs advertised during the rug break are adult orientated, something about getting it up and keeping the opposition down.

They need better sources, do they? Hopefully a journo will bring this up in an interview and get the confirmation straight from LL's mouth.

They dont want the wiki page changing basically. The interns at livestrong will do everything they can to block it.

May be dissapointing but it is true to the extent that Vino was busted and LA never has been. Having said that , who cares? He has served his time. Vino rode a great race and took advantage of the others having to mark Contador, just good solid tactics.
