The Hitch said:It might be time to start considering Moser Moreno with Sagan now. thats 2 youngsters that are outstanding in a number of disciplines to come out of LD ranks in the last few years and it seems, at least this early on, the 2 great talents of the next generation in clasics.
Wouldnt explain though why Basso sucked so hard in the Giro. Maybe they have some super drug which only works with acceleration. they do have a number of quite good sprinters afteral and Nibali aint half bad on short hills either![]()
Caruut said:It has struck me how similar the two riders are. One of them (probably Sagan, as the Italian team will want to keep the Italian boy) will leave over the coming years, as they're both going to be going for the monuments. Will be interesting to see if both fare as well.
Sprints like Greipel, climbs almost like Sandy Casar on short, steep climbs.roundabout said:Sprints like Greipel, climbs almost like Sandy Casar.
Ah, I didn't get the chance to watch the stage properly (curse you, family) so I got the impression the last cilmb was short and steeproundabout said:Well, not exactly. The steep bit was about 15 minutes long, and the "easy" bit must have been about 12 minutes or so.
Lanark said:Well, he doesn't sprint like Greipel either. Sagan is clearly slower.
Yesterday he climbed about as well as Gilbert. He is a bit faster than Gilbert in the sprint, but not as good in the classics (yet). Hardly earthshattering.
