Or maybe 21 people who watched the Dauphine.

or some (i can vouch for at least 1) who voted for Brad cause they like him and knew how much it would erk some people to see him get votes.

of course he will not win but its nice to have a positive outlook for a few days. Reckon some people need to take things less seriously.

it is sport. there are fans. we like to support our favourites even when we know they are likely to fail. otherwise we would all support barcelona.

If you did anything on this forum other than post about Britain like some self-hating jew, you'd realise I think Brad is a ****. He's just there as a benchmark to quantify Jrod.

Steady, Liverpool Sunset. Don't lose it. But I think you just did. Self-hating jew WTF. Scrape the surfacw eh.

Sadly most people do. Barcelona, Nadal/ Federer, Lance/ Usain Bolt, no one ever cheers for the little guy, rather want to see the names theyve heard of win.

I support Southampton and Sky / Wiggins. I am not sure that says much about Wiggins.

Feel sorry for people that only support the best. Sport needs highs and lows and the lower the lows the better the highs.

Not a Wiggins fan at all but think he will be very motivated for Vuelta. The field is not that tough and I think Brad wants a top GT result this year. Dauphine not enough for him. He has something to prove. Waiting till next year TDF is too risky. Go for something now to build on. Lot will depend on how strong his team is still also.
He may not win ITT, or Vuelta, but will definitely put 4+ on JRod

the field is good enough to bump wiggins out of the top 5 fight with no trouble.

Well, you do realize that J-rod put 1:04 into Wiggins on two climbs in Dauphine that were not terribly hard, would be 1:44 with the 20 second time bonuses like the Vuelta has. (or is it 10 sec, please correct me if I'm wrong), that's just two climbs, and Wiggins hasn't cracked on either one of these, and let me assure you the Angry Lou will crack him

I like Bradley I really do, i just don't like blind optimism. It's the sane with all the sports I follow I can assure u I would be as happy as u if he won but I would also be very happy if he finished in the top 5

To be fair those climbs were fairly difficult, not monsters but enough to split the field. I'm not sure he will necessarily crack if the dauphine is anything to go by, he will lose time obviously and probably a good bit but he seemed to have learnt his limitations and if stays within that. I actually think JRod is atleast as likely to to "crack" as he will be an aggressor and will be the pushing his limits so may put himself in the red.

Hmmm, I am of the view that Wiggins was at his peak at the Dauphine but in saying that Rodriguez seemed to come with very strong form at the Dauphine from the giro.

It isn't that easy to control form. It can just come earlier or later than expected. Clearly J Rod wanted to be in peak form for the Giro but that didn't happen.

You hit the nail on the head. Polls are about having some fun and yes I admit to voting Wiggins just to annoy and baffle certain pretentious people here.

But at least I can say I've done some racing even if I know **** all about forecasting a result. :)

Again, read the poll question. ITT. Wiggins and JRod. I don't see anywhere mentioned about mountain stages and bonus points. Duh

i quoted you and bolded the part where you say the field is weak so he can top 5. i responded to that. ..

if the thread is about wiggins vs purito itt then why are you mentioning a GC spot wiggins may be able to achieve?

Wiggins will clearly batter J-Rod in the ITT but some other bitter people here brought up the Mountains thing instead of starting their own thread on how useless Wiggins will be against J-Rod on the steep climbs.

I've had it with this thread anyway.
