This morning I went back and read the first few front pages, and they are a crack up! "Shut this thread down!" nationalism, hilarity ensues.

Of course they are surprised.

Watching this video, its just so hillarious that there were people out there who believed wiggins was clean. Some of them would even have died for the cause. I feel sorry for the families of these people. They did nothing to deserve the lifelong sentence of having to share their lives with such idiots.

Haha! So caustic :D
I know a few of 'these people' and their families are all idiots too. Birds of a feather and all that...

I was talking about his performance on the road, i know how great he is as a track racer.

So we agree that he has a proven pedigree as a top cyclist, albeit on the boards and not the road. He has shifted focus (specialty) and appears still to be a top cyclist. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt, only because he has long been outspoken in his criticism of doping, has been in the British Cycling team and is on the Garmin team, both of which have a strict anti-doping ethos and additional blood monitoring. As I said on another thread, if he lets me (us) down I will drive down to England and kick his skinny ****.

Comedy gold :D

That video is funny. I didn't see the Tour that year.
Wigans was totally awesome, you can see by the way he had to ramp it up gradually that he was clean. :)

It was a test year for him. Clearly he right mix at the Tour. He tried one day races that year. The Giro, until he realized micro-dosing on EPO, a bag or two and cortisone gets you on the podium at the Tour. He also fell in love with Lance, that's when he really knew.

Was Lance sleeping with him, like a Wiggo gimp, or a cuckolding thing to control JV or something? Honest question. I have no idea how these things really work.

I like how some on the first page justified Wiggins being up there by saying the Tour had been nothing special that year. In hindsight it was one of the dirtiest Tours in memory. Just Contador's performance up Verbier alone sends the '09 Tour into the Hilarity Hall of Fame, but then you also have Armstrong, Schlecks, Klöden, an even more pumped-up than usual Cancellara, Pellizotti riding like a lunatic on every mountain stage and countless other morons tainting the race with their radioactive glow.

Wiggins is obviously still squeaky clean, though. Obviously. Even though he eventually finished on the podium of that sh*tshow.

Agreed. The course that year was Lance Comback 2.0 friendly but everyone turned up for a fight with blood bags in hand. The Shleck's were ready and were holding hands with Contador. Wiggins was a sideshow that Tour. Everyone was doing so much gear no one noticed just how ridiculous he had become. He even attacked on Verbier! EPO makes you a better rider but it also makes you do dumb *** like attack when you really should just be following and pretending to be normal.

JV is the joke that made that Tour even more hilarious, he was being passive on Lance whilst claiming a clean Garmin. Major LOL's!

The UK version of RadioShack

Team Wiggins ‘very disappointed’ and ‘surprised’ at omission from Tour de Yorkshire

Simon Cope, the team’s sports director, told Cycling Weekly. “It’s very disappointing and it is very much a surprise. I don’t really know why. It’s a very strange one.

“I do feel that with the riders we have got, we would have been a top-10 contender in the GC, all things going well"

"The decision on who was included was made between Welcome to Yorkshire and cycling event organisers ASO, who jointly run the event."
Welcome to Yorkshire not wanting their name sullied by a former TdF winner - they are the worst you know :D

Wiggins has been on Soccer AM. Having gone Postal is he now going to go postal: "There's lots to say. It'll shock a few people."

"It's been horrible," Wiggins told Soccer AM. "Fortunately there is an investigation going on, it's the worst thing to be accused of when you're a man of my integrity, what I believe anyway and what I've done to get to where I am today.

"But there is an investigation and obviously I can't say too much, because that will run its course and then I'll have my say.

"Of course I'll have my say, there's a lot to say and it's going to shock a few people."

Bradley Wiggins has given his first, albeit short, interview since appearing on the BBC’s Andrew Marr show, stating that what he has to say in relation to UK Anti-Doping’s high-profile investigation ‘will shock a few people.’
Wiggins has given evidence as part of UKAD’s investigation but his credibility and that of Team Sky and British Cycling has come under heavy pressure since the Fancy Bears leak.

Appearing on Saturday’s Soccer AM television programme, Wiggins said: "It's the worst thing to be accused of as a man of my integrity given what I believe and what I've done to get to where I am today.

"But fortunately there is an investigation underway and I can't say too much, but that will run its course.

"Eventually I will get my say and there is a lot to say. It's going to shock a few people."
(Interesting that this is on SKY!)

Wiggins dismisses marginal gains as rubbish (YAY) by completely misunderstanding or misrepresenting what they're supposed to be (oh).

Blazin Saddles is satire..........
