both right, and both wrong

I have no opinion in this matter. But there are a lot of compelling reasons to believe that the Earth is flat. So it's important to look at both sides of the argument. I prefer to believe that the Earth is flat but I don't really know. It's just a good thing to look at both sides of the argument, and you really can't do that in the other thread.

I believe its more of a dodecahedron, round but with flat sides. For the sprinters.

Those of you's proposing mathematical and geometric answers must know you have to believe in it not have faith in it which means many of those who require faith won't be swayed. Time to add the spaghetti monsters view.

Why would the Earth lie about being flat and thereby run the risk of being exposed as the biggest fraud of geology? Doesn't make sense, does it? The Earth wouldn't be that stupid. It's flat. Period.

That´s good reasoning...

In space there's nothing - vaccum. There can't be clouds in space

Fraudulent ONEness of religious
academia has *** your opposite

Ummmm.... you know that sun light can travel only through vacuum ? ;)

If there was atmosphere in space - we would not receive any sunlight.

Some people will believe anything ?

That made me laugh, we have facts. You beliefs :p

Although I know you're being sarcastic ;) ( I think :p )

Did you actually see the lunar landing with your own two eyes?

I didn't think so.

Yes, just applying some Lance Fan logic here

I never once said anything about moon landing though :p

I don't care if it happend or not. I know that space is in vaccum and so there's no atmosphere there - making the picture wrong.

Haha, nicely done :p

Recent work in theoretical physics shows that the likelihood that the earth is indeed flat is considerably greater than the likelihood that LA did not dope.

An astonishing theory called the holographic principle holds that the universe is like a hologram: just as a trick of light allows a fully three-dimensional image to be recorded on a flat piece of film, our seemingly three-dimensional universe could be completely equivalent to alternative quantum fields and physical laws "painted" on a distant, vast surface… Our everyday perceptions of the world as three-dimensional would then be either a profound illusion or merely one of two alternative ways of viewing reality.

How dare can you think this thread has something to do with LA?
It´s strictly about the earth. Please stay on topic. ;)

They have a point, we might simply perceive the world to be round with our current knowledge (just like they thought the earth was flat some years ago). Maybe the earth is a cube.

Don't think so though.

Hi Aussies btw, don't fall off, in case the earth is flat.

Good point. There should be a separate thread for this. Just to prevent confusion.

Just like the fake moon landing, NASA is now wanting us to believe the landed some rover on Mars.

Right.
