The unusual thing about this course is that the climbs in the final get progressively easier. This should motivate the better climbers to get into action early.

Team Sky is looking so monstrous again:

201 KWIATKOWSKI Michal
202 HENAO MONTOYA Sergio Luis
203 LANDA MEANA Mikel
204 MOSCON Gianni
205 NIEVE ITURRALDE Mikel
206 POELS Wout
207 PUCCIO Salvatore
208 ROSA Diego
I doubt any of those guys will be a real factor in the finale.

Henao is done for the season. He doesn't have any form.

When starts the broadcast? Are we going to be able to see Sormano?

Steephill says broadcasting starts 14:25 CET (or 5:25:00 AM PDT, which is me), and should include Sormano.

Kwiatkowski is pleading exhaustion, I can't see Moscon doing more than playing a support role in the final hour of racing (similar to his job in SanSeb, tbf). If Landa doesn't arrive alone, he'll lose a sprint to any other classics rider.

It's October, not July. If a Sky rider wins tomorrow, he'll have worked for it just as much as anyone of the Astana, Quick Step, Bahrain or other guys who are in there at the finish.

It'd actually be really great as a circuit, although it's obviously way too hard for us to ever see it used as such. (12 laps would equal 264km and 7500m of vertical gain  )

Is there a reason why Il Lombardia is the only monument run on a Saturday?
Milan Sanremo is also raced on a Saturday. Maybe cause it clashes with football?

Calling on Jane to deliver some pain, but Delfino will probably drive the peloton with such a pace that aggressive racing will be suffocated.

So nobody mentioned Fuglsang ...I am thinking why ?

Didnt he win a race recently ?
Didnt he come 2nd at Olympic RR
Isnt he pretty fresh in comparison to most
He won against the likes of Lutsenko, Stüssi, Baillifard, Di Gregorio, Gidich, Colorado, Kozhatayev, Natarov and Nikitin. I think I could have potentially won against that field :D

yes, historically football was only played on Sunday in Italy... now that there are games everyday doesn't make much sense though.
