I think it's quite true that it wasn't the case to the same degree as it is now.

This is what I was implying, there's always been a fight to be well positioned but when actually nessacerry. Now it's become an obsession with teams and commontators.

It was hard to predict but if they have pulled off a Freaky Lombardia then fairplay.
