They forgot that after a long and hard race... what matters is how much you have left in the legs. Usually the guy infront is probably the strongest that day.I was told that Evenepoel would be the better rouleur in rolling terrain even when dropped by Wonderboy.
Well, and yet He was doing the same here. He got away by accident, IMHO.this shows why Remco was dumb as a box of rocks at the worlds
He should have just ridden, not gesticulated. He wasted far more than the minute he lost there
Now, he wouldn't have won. VDP probably wins in that scenario. But still. He just need sot ride his race and if it gets second behind Pog so be it
Wasn't Quick Step known for their riders overperforming? He would be if his sponsor was an oligarch and not a glue company
I said over 3 minutes gap somewhere.
I was wrong about Evenepoel having a passable day today
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Remco beat Pogacar pretty comfortable in a hilly TT when they were both in top shapeGuess that we might have a different TT champ if Pogacar simply had participated this year.
Really, Gaudi? That golden bike and helmet of Remco look gaudy
Not when he knows he’s already out of it.Now they're on the flat, isn't this the time that Remco is supposed to reel Pog in and win the race.
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self."Polish commentators said, that Pogacar just beat his own Sormano Climb record from a training last week by 1:20.
I just find people who say things like that hard to get their actually watching cycling or wishful thinking. Evenepoel is phenomenal but Pogacar is on a level noone else in the world (and history of the sport) is easy to see.Ironic cause we heard from his fans that Remco can easily stick to Pog's wheel.
For a second he looked like a heat-seeking missile closing in on herSivakov almost crashed into a lady of reasonable carriage crossing the roadCould've been disastrous.
