Yes, it was looking to be a vintage year for Nibali. And since the crash he has had the spirit bit not the legs. Without Nibali I’ll be hoping for Bardet or Pinot to show I think.

I think Nibali should 100% follow that move. The only reason to not do that is if he is thinking he can drop everyone on Civiglio

Agreed. Since we don't have San Fermo della Battaglia everyone will go full on Civiglio so he will not be in lead alone after the descent because he isn't on super form.
