I can see why the prosecuters would bring (mistress)Bell on the stand, just to defame Bonds. For the defense to try and discredit her to me is a mistake, they should rather let her pass quietly out the back door, a trait she knows so well. I would think in the US maybe 19 out of 20 women at least would hate mistresses. I do not think there is an advantage to having a nine year pinch hitter in there really, as far as showing credibility for either side of the case.

I say nothing about Bonds character. She had choices and she chose to follow him around under all of those circumstances. Yes he is an idiot but she is not a victim.

reading this stuff will make it easier, she said in her statements that he gave her the down payment . She also said that he sent her money and gifts for her family. She said that he worried about lump sums so he sent her 5 and 10,000 dollars at a time.
The lawyers asked her repeatedly why she went on Geraldo and Howard Stern and laughed so hard about everything Barry and why was she crying now. No question that Bonds was a hole, and probably went from mean to worse after he was on roids, she was a victim of living above her means while Barry subsidized her life as a paid sex partner.
It was sad that she was so hurt after Barry left her in Texas after 9/11. She said hey Barry can I get a ride on the chartered jet and he said no wait like everybody else, she stayed around even after that also, kept collecting the money
One part I still don't understand is that Bell said she told Novitzky that parts of her diary were written by Aphrodite Jones to "spice up" her book. Why would they put a the diary into evidence if the person who it belongs to says she didn't write it

CNN.com is reporting today that the verdict could be announced, get this: during openning day's game at the Giant's stadium while they celebrate the World Series they won after Bonds was gone and with a new era team. That the courthouse is two miles from the stadium makes the theatre that much more spectacular.
