But the defence is also introducing Bell's emails that suggest that Bonds, who was married at the time, was sleeping with hookers and strippers. That might cloud the 'poor performance' angle but it also paints Barry as a serial cheat. And if he cheats on his wife to that extent, maybe he cheats on baseball. It's a dangerous approach.

The article suggests what you imply about Bonds' legal situation and indicates it may be just the start of USADA festivities with Roger Clemens on deck this early summer. Considering the timing of each case it's possible we will see your beloved and his cause being the crescendo of prosectution. If Novitsky is going for maximum effect the serious start of festivities could follow Clemen's trial right into the 2011 Tour with Novitsky saving the best for last.
Unfortunately for the last defendant the public sympathy for rich cheaters will probably tapped out.

I think 90,000 and he gave her folks some money also. He acts like it's a gift to some people and then when he gets mad he wants it back. Some other goon ripped her off after the Playboy photos she was supposed to get a 100k but he must have had some fine print in the contract because she says she got 18 only. She also worked lots of jobs but had a bad spell where she was unemployed for @2years, it's not clear how much Bonds helped but he must have said he would and then backed out. Thanks for the heads up, I respect New Yorker, and you are probably right on all counts as far as the future of the cheaters. In the 7 days this trial has been going on I can see where the prosecution is going. I think they are doing a very, very good job. The only thing is, Bonds looks like such a shmuck to begin with it seems to me to be a very easy case for the prosecution to find Bonds guilty. If Giambi, and the trainer, implicate Bonds, as in helped him to, recieved from, or saw Bonds do steroids then Bonds is toast.

He offered her 20,000 to disappear and sign a conf agreement - gladly she did not. The house he said he would buy her was respossessed. Of course his main way of paying her was by signing baseballs for 100 dollars a go.
I genuinely can't see any redeeming factors with Bonds. He gets his son to pose in front of journalists for the sympathy vote, and the following day buys him a top of the range BMW. Yet he tells Bell to disappear, sign an agreement and that's that.

Is there a list of circumstances that will restrict me, as an american citizen, from going to the cops and reporting things that are giving me grief? I want to make sure I do not put myself in that position. I have added screwing around with married people to that list as a starter. But then I would be making a choice to not do that which sorta flies in the face of the digger victim group bylaws.

I see your point, however in our country, we still need to believe that our people will obey the laws, otherwise, there would be anarchy.
It seems to me, if a high profile guy like Bonds was slapped with a restraining order, he would be advised by his attorneys to respect it.
My point is, if Kimberly felt threatened, bullied or controlled by Bonds, it would seem logical to seek outside help.
