If Sky's aim was to finish with the same or better time than his GC rivals, then they achieved their aim. Sky did less work in the final few kms than BMC as far as I can remember. I don't get the big drama.
Yes ofcourse they are thats something everyone knows (everyone besides the brits) (shocker!)they also said porte was winning the giro and that sky has dominating every GT last 5 years (even tho they have only won 2 GT's ever )so their not really something to take serious but a good laugh nonetheless hahha
does anyone bother to explain the nature of utterly absurd hate for sky on here? i presume had bertie or nibs ridden the stage this way some people could easily post smth like 'the guys chilling. training ride'
Sky have ridden this first week perfectly. A week designed for classics specialists, a week where everyone, on this forum and elsewhere (including me), thought Froome was likely to lose time, with echelons, cobbles and hills, and he's come through it in the lead.
It feels like "Sky are clueless" was supposed to be the story of the week, and therefore it is, regardless of reality.
Today, Froome was just making sure his rivals couldn't come past him, hard to see exactly what he did wrong. He's still in yellow, didn't lose any time to anyone important for the GC, and gained time on Nibali.
