Nope, I just let him know that he could ban me and I would still be back. Even IP bans can be overcome. I am not going back for a bit because it isn't worth the time and energy, but at some point I will post there again.

I will say that being banned for what I wrote as TFF was not warranted. I really didn't say anything too confrontational. As for Joseph G., I am surprised that I lasted a full 24 with what I was writing there.

Just had a quick look round that other place. I'm developing a new theory after reading coolhand's rant after banning you and me and whoever else he thought was you. That is that coolhand was jackhammer, read this:

Just realized something... everyone is going to the RBR forums to start crap. From what I understand people like that are also called trolls... something many of us here hate too. Hhmmm... pot calling the kettle black here?

BTW, yes I'm on RBR but I post 99% of the time in my local area forum for rides and stuff.

And honestly, you have the freedom of choice. If you hate it there, stay away and it may just go away on it's own. Although i have some good friends there as well.

(oh yes, i went there, i compared coolhand to hitler) Despite the hypocrisy you pointed out, RBR staff need to be aware of a public forum turning into a dictatorship just because views differ...and since that failed time to have a little fun.

As much as I dislike Coolhand every time he bans a Troll he uses it to justify his other actions that are completely biased.

The best thing to do is ignore him. He has kicked out 10-20 of the best contributers. Posters who stimulated debate in a thoughtful manner and drew others to the forum. It is easy to see that the number of posts in the Pro Cycling and Doping forums have dropped considerably and the content of the few that are there is weak at best. He made it clear that if you knew anything about the sport the RBR was not the place to go.

Man, Swiftsolo took the cake. Coolhand was like some banana republic generalissimo but Swiftsolo (Listen, Mate...) with his third grade spelling and grammar errors ruled. Although his Classic Posts are too numerous to mention individually he really shined with his post (can't recall the topic) about teenage girls "at the mall dressed like ****ty death rock *****s" or something to that effect - although he spelled it "hoares" or "whoars". It was like the ranting of some serial killer in a stained and weathered yellow legal notepad that CSI types would find in his dingy studio apartment. I took him to task a few times but always got his "only losers attack winners" and his diatribe against "The Media". Honestly, *that* guy was off the rails. This place looks to be inhabited by the vaguely rational! Nice to see some RBR exiles...

I might be wrong but I think after one of Siftsolo's *** rants somebody found a picture of his bike that he had posted in another part of the forum. It was maybe 50cm if not 48. That opened the door for someone to post it and ask him if he was a midget. Needless to say he did not take it too well, especially when people started jumping in. Gotta find that thread.

I always wondered what type of response I would have gotten from Francois if I would have PMed him instead of attempting to use the "Contact Us" forms on RBR and the parent company's websites.

I also suspected that Thien (sp?), hired from The Paceline, might have something to do with all the bans.

I was IP banned for life because they thought I was a ThoughtForFood sockpuppet. So they could ban my IP but they couldn't tell it was not TFF's IP. Then when I signed up on my home computer which is a totally different IP than my store computers the a$$hole banned me again after another couple posts saying "banned means banned".At that point I would have been happy to kick his wimpy little a$$ all over the internet, but I tried to settle for sending a bunch of emails identifing myself as a store owner and potential advertiser and asking for any proof that my IP had ever had more than 1 username. I got zero response.
I don't think they care about anything other than having their faces as far up LA's backside as biomechanically possible. I am not done with them yet however, just planning my next move.

I used to check RBR occasionally to keep abreast of what was going on there, but it is no longer worth the time. Posting volume has decreased a lot, and the lack of real differences in opinion has made the site useless. The same thing is true of DPF.
