Here's some polical context on what's going on in Spain on the IPT affair
https://cyclingreport.substack.com/p/bigger-issues-than-cycling-itself

The Israeli question is controversial and polarising, but it’s hard to talk about what happened today in Bilbao purely in sporting terms.
Not really that hard IMO. Protests are not cycling. A race can be stopped for a landslide - we don't spend hours here talking about the landslide?

For another recent example, Ineos is a fossil fuel company and we are able to discuss that team's riders and results here without breaking forum rules. Discuss the politics of the protest or team elsewhere this matter goes way beyond cycling.

While I understand the conflict is polarizing and raises strong opinions, this forum exists to discuss the sport of cycling not the subject of protests interrupting with racing.

And again, please desist from even mentioning the politics of the protest. That includes links that discuss political matters. The race was interrupted by protesters, that's all.

from Escape Collective

Whether Premier Tech decides to stay or go, the source told us they expected Israel to remain in the team's name, while visual branding will change, with the word 'Israel' removed from the jerseys next season. Instead, reference to Israel will solely be the Star of David logo that already features on the jersey. This is the branding currently used on the team bus, where the name 'Israel' has been removed.

I am Colombian, as you all know, and really have to interest in neither party. Having said that I don't understand why take it on Israel Premier Tech. I don't like anything that is happening in the Middle East, but I just don't get why take it against a cycling team.

Anyway, I don't like when they are taking sides, but that is the reality of this world.

Due to my reply being removed i will use your post as a reference to the source for the quote:

but decision remains with UCI

As some in this thread vehemently claimed such decision has nothing to do with UCI and on how somebody else needs to make it on their behalf and similar.

Their manager is talking about how their riders have been assaulted, insulted and threatened not only in this Vuelta but also in other races (e.g. CSS). Kicks on their cars, insulting and spitting on riders when they are going for team presentation before stages.
He said they were also criticized in the Giro and Tour but some people were protesting peacefully, not what is happening in the Vuelta where people are protesting violently.
This manager also said IPT have a 25 years old rider of 1.90 m and he cried like a baby (in his room) for 30 minutes due to this insecurity on the roads for IPT riders.

they skipped Pais-Basco-Itzulia and San Sebastian this year. next year they will be WT and can skip just 1 race. probably UCI will allow them to skip both Basque races again. the protests of this Vuelta will only give strength to the protesters and every Spanish race next year will be dangerous for them.

Maybe because of this. They were really insulted in CSS 2024. But I think next year, Israel will no longer be part of cycling

that's what I'm wondering. will the team still exist? will Adams surrender and sell the license? or will he hand the team to Premiertech and not be involved with the team anymore? the Vuelta protests are a start point for many other protests, in Spain and in other races in Europe. this winter/off season will be crucial in the decisions of the team owners

I'd like to hope he got permission from Frigo and Stewart before he opened them to ridicule like this. I would not be comfortable with a team manager with that little respect forconfidentiality.

does anyone I think Glasenberg (Q36.5 millionaire, and he's jewish) will try to call Adams to try and get a deal for the WT license if the Premiertech situation will be deemed untenable? now the Vuelta is going on and they can't have a summit, but all the Israel team managers and owners, and maybe UCI, will need to have a talk asap after the Vuelta

I hope there will be political pressure on organisers to better ensure safe conditions for all riders and teams.

They won't get any new riders next season even if they do decide to continue on racing. Those already under contract may find it difficult to leave and may come under pressure to stay put but I'm not sure if any of them will really want to continue to incur the wrath of roadside fans if they can find a new team.

We already established such pressure should be orientated at UCI, organiser has no means to ensure rider safety under such circumstances, bar to i guess cancel the event or to play hide and seek or similar.

His point wasn't that. His point is they didn't have violent protesters in the Giro and Tour.

So far. Due to protests escalating with time. I wouldn't be so sure in regards to the 2026 season and that is on why i am rather sure all parties involved will now deal with it, take it at face value and to find adequate solutions. Team being under scrutiny already took first steps, by i guess removing politics from the sport, as some argue politics have no place in sport and hence the team is now more compliant with such stance.

Transfer activity does not speak to strong commitment to next season.

There are other rumours of signings, just no official announcements.

Ciro Scognamiglio said the other day that Pinarello had signed "This can be considered a deal done, only official communication missing". Think it was Benson who said the same about Pau Marti a month or two back.

There's also the Biniam rumours and Ryan Mullen was heavily linked a while back, but can't remember the phrasing of the news.

Of course some may be getting cold feet and that might even apply to those already on the team.

"E. Vernon, or, in the interest of the riders confidentiality, lets call him Ethan V, was seen crying in his room."

I would say it's one of his sillier moments but the bar for unseriousness is quite high with Adams, having Christopher Froome do PR appearances in the Golan Heights a personal favourite, I thought it was satire at first.
