Here's some polical context on what's going on in Spain on the IPT affair

Not really that hard IMO. Protests are not cycling. A race can be stopped for a landslide - we don't spend hours here talking about the landslide? The Israeli question is controversial and polarising, but it’s hard to talk about what happened today in Bilbao purely in sporting terms.
Some people sees the team as promotion for the country and doesn't like riders to have contract with the team and getting paid.I just don't get why take it against a cycling team.

Spain's Foreign Minister expresses support for removal of Israel-Premier Tech from Vuelta a España
Multiple pro-Palestine protests against team's continued participation draw response from José Manuel Albares, but decision remains with UCIwww.cyclingnews.com
I am Colombian, as you all know, and really have to interest in neither party. Having said that I don't understand why take it on Israel Premier Tech. I don't like anything that is happening in the Middle East, but I just don't get why take it against a cycling team.
Anyway, I don't like when they are taking sides, but that is the reality of this world.
but decision remains with UCI
Their manager is talking about how their riders have been assaulted, insulted and threatened not only in this Vuelta but also in other races (e.g. CSS). Kicks on their cars, insulting and spitting on riders when they are going for team presentation before stages.
He said they were also criticized in the Giro and Tour but some people were protesting peacefully, not what is happening in the Vuelta where people are protesting violently.
This manager also said IPT have a 25 years old rider of 1.90 m and he cried like a baby (in his room) for 30 minutes due to this insecurity on the roads for IPT riders.

Maybe because of this. They were really insulted in CSS 2024. But I think next year, Israel will no longer be part of cyclingthey skipped Pais-Basco-Itzulia and San Sebastian this year. next year they will be WT and can skip just 1 race. probably UCI will allow them to skip both Basque races again. the protests of this Vuelta will only give strength to the protesters and every Spanish race next year will be dangerous for them.

There are plenty of people protesting peacefully at La Vuelta too.He said they were also criticized in the Giro and Tour but some people were protesting peacefully, not what is happening in the Vuelta where people are protesting violently.
I'd like to hope he got permission from Frigo and Stewart before he opened them to ridicule like this. I would not be comfortable with a team manager with that little respect forconfidentiality. This manager also said IPT have a 25 years old rider of 1.90 m and he cried like a baby (in his room) for 30 minutes due to this insecurity on the roads for IPT riders.
Stewart is 1.79, I doubt he would be called 1.90 by anyoneI'd like to hope he got permission from Frigo and Stewart before he opened them to ridicule like this. I would not be comfortable with a team manager with that little respect for privacy.
D'oh: Vernon I should have put. He and Frigo both 1.88 according to PCSStewart is 1.79, I doubt he would be called 1.90 by anyone
His point wasn't that. His point is they didn't have violent protesters in the Giro and Tour. There are plenty of people protesting peacefully at La Vuelta too.
I hope there will be political pressure on organisers to better ensure safe conditions for all riders and teams.does anyone I think Glasenberg (Q36.5 millionaire, and he's jewish) will try to call Adams to try and get a deal for the WT license if the Premiertech situation will be deemed untenable? now the Vuelta is going on and they can't have a summit, but all the Israel team managers and owners, and maybe UCI, will need to have a talk asap after the Vuelta

Transfer activity does not speak to strong commitment to next season.
And thus, unless he was referring to himself, is team confidentiality undone.Three days earlier in a Post race interview Frigo mentioned a rider from the team had a crying fit.
