Not much else out there yet. But in terms of your question: why bother? Now the podium suspense is lifted.
i believe that a certain rider, that already won many races this year, from a small country located near Italy, that is riding for certain middle eastern rich country, is going to win this race this time, probably beating a certain other rider, from a country in north America, that is also is riding for the same team.

North America.

I'm not sure which is more laughable. The 30 million Gee is being sued for, or him wanting to leave without paying anything.

Anyway for all parties it's got to be better just to get a settlement done and dusted and move on. Arbiter Leadbelly says 3.4 (or whatever fraction he had left on his contract when he quit) times his salary and he's free.

The forum's own losbrolin confirms that Morin is the Canadian that is joining the devo squad next year.

Dawid Lewandowski (Polish U23 RR champ) also looks very likely to join. I said the same thing last year, but I think this time it's correct.

I see the Cannonball got a new one year deal - which is interesting, because at GPCQM he said that he wanted to continue for another two. But I guess the team said "Montreal and no further". And to be honest, not for no reason.

They should have tried to convince Woods to do the same, by the way. He's had a bad year and there's of course a chance 2026 would be equally poor, but this now is not really how his career should have ended.

I think with Woods, it wasn't so much the bad year (or two) though it probably didn't help, but the dangers associated with cycling or that's what he talked about anyway. Probably the right call on his part.

Boivin I think still has a bit to give as a team mate. Bennett I'm less sure of. However if the team is really light on GC types then I guess top-15 type results in one week WT races at least will give some points and visibility on some stages.

Somewhat disappointing end to the European season for the team. They had the numbers at the crucial point in the race with Strong, Sheehan and Louvel definitely all up there and I'd spotted the other three, including devo rider Lima, in the peloton not so long before that. However they missed the Laporte/Trentin move for whatever reason (positioning? tired legs at the end of the season?) and it was game over after that.

Impressive fourth for Van Tricht at the Gravel Worlds. He was the Euro U23 champ a couple of years ago.

For me it's lots of solid rides put together by Matthew Riccitello. To the point were his contract amount the Decathalon is much talked about. They are betting big on Matt.

It's just all so sketch, what if name change and other cosmetics are not enough to qualify as a " new team "?
I personally would have changed name completely, would have flagged it somewhere like New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and take on some food company, maybe breakfast cereal or candy company.. Skittles, Payday, Snickers, some Cadbury product. Or a cycling staple.. Nutella.. A team sponsored by Nutella is hard to get angry at..
Maybe an electric car company could calm things down. Yogurt also seems to be a big deal.. Stuff saying something probiotics, etc.. Nestle owns a bunch of stuff..
Team Danone..

Don't like Nutella myself. I'll go for Haribo though.

Joking aside it's difficult to see a new sponsor getting onboard currently. Other teams with less baggage have struggled to find any this year (Alpecin?), so for ex-IPT it would be even more difficult and far too short a time period to get it set up.

2027 could be a different matter, if the team walks the walk. So yeah anyway, probably Factor Premier Tech. Maybe we'll find out after Guangxi or the UCI will let the cat out of the bag when they tell us which teams have applied for WT licences.

By then, they could probably resurrect as Israel.

Some good news. :)

Most of his best performances seem to have come in hillier races with that podium at the Baby Giro being a bit of an outlier, but he's still just 20, so that could change in the coming years.

We also had confirmation recently of the signings of Pinarello and Mullen, and there's a very unlikely sounding rumour on the French forums that they've signed Lozouet from Arkea. Maybe it's true, who knows, but wouldn't the devo make more sense?

Anyway if you add up all those transfers, the extensions and add in a handful of Israelis, well it doesn't leave many spaces left to fill. Even if they don't really need another sprinter (especially if both Kogut and Einhorn renew) and even if they have to overpay, signing Girmay has to be a good move. Lafay is the other name doing the rounds and after Guangxi who would say no.
