I don't know if Cube is one of the few manufacturing anomalies but majority of all the bikes are made by Giant and, Merida.

Today, Premier Tech announced their intention to step down as co-title sponsor in 2026. This announcement was not made in consultation with the team which is why we were not in a position to inform internally prior to the announcement. We have many ongoing and exciting conversations with potential partners and we expect to be able to update you all in the coming week.

Please note, this news, although disappointing and something we will continue to work through, does not change our approach to the 2026 season. We are as motivated as ever to hit the ground running and I look forward to seeing you all at camp in two weeks’ time.

Sylvain Adams have good connections to Rwanda and Rwanda have shown some serious interest in sport sponsoringship. They are sponsoring Arsenal and are involved with Atletico Madrid and PSG.

We know that Adams is involved with Rwanda (and this is in terms of cycling with the Field of Dreams academy stuff. We know that Rwanda is involved with sport sponsoring. We know that this team is trying to sign the biggest African cyclist in Girmay.

[content deleted] there have been rumors the past few months about a potential investment from them in a cycling team. They were for example one of the few real candidates Hubert talked to to replace Arkea, and yes Adams has a good relation with them.

Seems to be confusion over content, context and subject. Race organizations banned the team from races, Derek Gee abandoned his contract, multiple sponsors abandoned contracts and future promised obligations for same or similar reasons. Each individual situation is different but statements for involved parties are available , cycling websites like Cycling News have a few perspectives others are available.

The latest rumour (Ciro Scognamiglio reports, not sure how accurate he usually is) has IPT, under a new name, operating under a Swiss license in 2026.

The same reporter has Alpecin in pole position for obtaining the Premier Tech sponsorship, though I thought that had already been debunked.

Anyway if the Swiss rumours are true, I'm leaning towards them not having a main sponsor (yet). Swiss makes me think of the UCI and the IOC (plus cuckoo clocks!). So a kind of placeholder nation until a sponsor wants another one. That's my guess anyway.

Are you sure about that? I've never heard of that rule.

Not that a WT team changing nationality is too frequent an occurrence, but DSM did change from Germany to the Netherlands in the middle of a 3yr cycle I think. Would be crazy not to allow any team to change if that's what sponsors wanted.

Benson said that Derek Gee's case would be pursuant to Swiss law, so I guess in some way the team already operated from Switzerland before. Maybe they kept some of the old Katusha infrastructure?

Do I understand this correctly?
As far as TTFKAIPT are concerned, Gee-West is still contracted with them?
UCI rules states that if a rider is contracted with a team, said rider must actually race for them - unless injured/sick, of course - which, I guess, is to prevent situations where a rider is leaving and ends up getting side-lined.
How would they - the team - do that? Not like they can kidnap him, and drag him to races...
I suppose they could... but it would be morally questionable.
