If I am correct those two climbs are from the 2008 worlds circuit. It's not the complete circuit of 2008, but both climbs seem to be in the race.

For now it looks like Bakelants, Pozzovivo, Aru, Lulu, Nibali, Visconti, Buchmann, Majka, Formolo, Pinot, Quintana, Albasini, Dumoulin, Matthews, Stuyven, Theuns, Costa, Ulissi. Sky is still unknown.

It seems to be exactly the same, except for the last part. During the WC they were turning right towards the train station and then towards the racetrack where the finish line was. They are missing the flat part where Ballan attacked.

does anyone know if they still hand out a diamond for the Trittico Lombardo winner although the three races are separated by almost three weeks now? If they do, it's between Albasini (23pt), Colbrelli (15pt), Boivin (12pt), Canola (12pt) and Gavazzi (10pt) for il diamante today (15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points for the Top 10, afaik)

Don't know what to expect from Quintana, I think he is done, but something tells me he could do well in Torino and/or Lombardia. He won't do anything today tho. Overall, I don't think its the best idea to try to peak again here, but he could get some good confidence for the spring races in 2018 doing well here. Don't know if he really wants to race here or he was told from the management.

The break : Alessandro Tonelli (Bardiani-CSF), Artem Nych (Gazprom-RusVelo), Diego Rubio (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Adrian Turek (Israel Cycling Academy), Marco Bernardinetti (Amore & Vita) et Ettore Carlini (D’Amica-Utensilnord).

The peloton at 5mn, led by Sky, Barhain and Sunweb, 85km left.

Reichenbach crashed and was carried to the hospital.

How big a diamond are we talking?
Koh-i-Nor size? (probably not...)
Regular jewelry-diamond size?
Tiny industrial size?

French reporter on the finish line said on TV that Kwiatowski was way behind the peloton when he passed the line. Maybe DNF.

Chasing group not cooperating. Sprint a deux is what it should be if they cooperate

Pinot, with the better sprint, decides not to pull as much as Nibali. Only for Geniez to bridge and tip Pinot on the line
