ProCyclingStats has Sunweb conferned to Lombardia. Are they ok with Barguil or will he have a ˜total freedom˜ from the team??
Barguil has a co-leader role in all races. So yeah he is free to do as he pleases.

By the looks of Oomen, Kelderman and Dumoulin are also free to do as they please. Whoever has best legs.
For the moment, Oomen seemed strongest.

Nibali and Pinot in top form for Lombardia. The others are meh...

Nibali
Pinot
Dan Martin

Those are my favourites

Remember Dan Martin knows how ot win this race
Considering the race route has changed dramatically since then, the last statement is irrelevant.
Martin has visibly improved his climbing skills since then as well. But yeah, it's a bit like saying Zabel knows how to win the Amstel Gold Race 10 years ago.
Martin should obviously be considered one of the favourites, but regardless of whether he has won it or not with an attack on the flat after the climb to Bergamo Alta from a group of 10, because that bears no relevance to Sunday's race.

Martin's form is a big question mark.

Martin's form is a big question mark.

Agreed. In top form, Martin should be perhaps the very top favourite. He's the number 2 puncheur in the world, as well as being an excellent climber, and the number 1 isn't riding. But Lombardia is different from the Ardennes in that top form is not the norm across the field. And Martin has shown relatively little since breaking his back.

When I said Martin knows how to win Lombardia ...I didnt mean the parcours...which is neither here nor there as he can win on most hilly terraine.. :) .I mean he knows how to target form for this race

He was in the top group at the Worlds even though he had not ridden in a while ...so I would say he will be up there at Lombardia and has a great finish
