Martin from Wanty wins stage 2 Giro Toscana followed by Visconti and Cattaneo. This is also top 3 GC, Nibali and Bernal complete top 5.
Did he win from a break? Or did he beat Nibali and Bernal head to head?

It all happened on the last climb not from the break, this is top 10 stage:

1 Guillaume Martin (Fra) Wanty - Groupe Gobert
2 Giovanni Visconti (Ita) Bahrain - Merida a 10"
3 Mattia Cattaneo (Ita) Androni - Sidermec Bottecchia
4 Fabricio Ferrari (Uru) Caja Rural - Seguros RGA
5 Anthony Delaplace (Fra) Fortuneo - Oscaro
6 Marco Canola (Ita) Nippo - Vini Fantini
7 Vincenzo Nibali (Ita) Bahrain - Merida
8 Egan Arley Bernal Gomez (Col) Androni - Sidermec Bottecchia
9 Nicola Gaffurini (Ita) Sangemini - MG.Kvis
10 Maxime Bouet (Fra) Fortuneo - Oscaro

Silly question: Would it be possible for Sabatini to win Coppa Sabatini? Not this year, coz he's injured, but is he a rider-type that could potentially win that race?

He hasn't ever won a race which is strange since he is fast and rides for QuickStep so that's probably a no.

Martin's showing some late-season form there, a pity stage races are almost over now

Happens a lot, a rider rides a GT and than suddenly finds he can ride on another level.

That doesn't really answer my question.
Is the Coppa Sabatini a race a rider like Sabatini could potentially win?

He's a rouleur / leadout man. I'd say no.

Looking forward to Emilia, Torino and Lombardia! A lot of great climbers will take part in those races.

Nice win from Guillaume. Already 5 wins this month (3 if you don't count 2.2 races). FDJ must regret not taking him in 2015... Too bad his team doesn't got a wildcard for Torino and Lombardia. :(

Don't overlook the Tre Valli Varesine ! There is less climbing stuff, but the race delivers every year !

By the way, is this the first time that Emilia is broadcasted live ? Always wanted to see that beautiful race.

the winning move came early with 7 or 8k to go, and I guess as Androni and Bahrain then both had a strong man in front, no one was left to chase.

In the end Ferrari as 4th only finished 12 seconds behind or so and he was in the breakaway all day

Emilia is a great race. Why don't the Dutch and Belgian WT-teams participate? It's a great race to prepare for Lombardia.

San Luca, 2009. Who would've thought that the young Kenyan in red zigzagging behind Gerrans would become five time Grand Tour winner?

Probably more people than there were after he got kicked out of the Giro for hanging on to cars a year later

Who would've thought that this exciting talented attacking rider would turn into the Australian Leipheimer.

Looking at the results, i wonder what did happen to Cummings ? He was obviously strong in the first stage, but he did not even try to win the overall. He can't perform 2 days in a row ?
