In my humble opinion - the color scheme of the RS Trek fits right in with the junk that you can pick up in the real Shack store !!! Pretty much, low cost toys and cheap electronics - just furthers that image with the bike colors. Other than attaching a dynamo to generate power the drive some flashing neon sign, they opted for the light(er) weight sticker.

A pig with lipstick is still a pig .... and don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Trek bikes (own three myself), but looking at this one makes one rather seasick. Can you imagine watching those wheels as they go by in a race ? They will have to issue some Dramamine to the crowd in a time trial or criterium

Unnecessarily over-designed. Its like they are compensating for something. It is a Trek after all, so that says it all.

When I first saw this, I thought I was looking at a mountain bike, after a particularly muddy ride. It took me a couple of seconds to realize that it was a brand new bike and not dirty. Maybe it will look better when it's moving...
