No need for Remco to go to the Dauphine. He's already doing Suisse, which has a longer TT. Would be the same tour warm up
Remco won't need to do any Tour warm up.
And this time I read it correctly!

Yea, well, I said that because I think the Dauphine is harder than ToS.No need for Remco to go to the Dauphine. He's already doing Suisse, which has a longer TT. Would be the same tour warm up
I'm totally speculating of course, but say it becomes a possibility, why would he not want to test himself beforehand?Remco won't need to do any Tour warm up.

Attention, I would not count Roglic out just yet? Sure, he needs to have great legs today and he would have to attack from far out. If he does that it would be a perfect scenario for Remco to take advantage of has he the legs.
Even if he's fit I think Jumbo will just ride for JV now but maybe give Roglic freedom to join / mark an early attack from someone like Bilbao/Izagirre if he was feeling good enough
probably, yeah. But in the pre-stage interview, Bilbao just said that he doesn't plan to do any early attacks, but today wants to wait for the final climb instead.Ion probably has the same plan.
Good point. In fact, JV could be the spoiler forEven if he's fit I think Jumbo will just ride for JV now but maybe give Roglic freedom to join / mark an early attack from someone like Bilbao/Izagirre if he was feeling good enough
Just good business to keep your talented support riders happy by giving them the reigns at minor races if the circumstances call for it.
Good point, in fact JV could also win this if he drops everyone on the final ascent.Even if he's fit I think Jumbo will just ride for JV now but maybe give Roglic freedom to join / mark an early attack from someone like Bilbao/Izagirre if he was feeling good enough

Do you have any idea how confusing it is that sometimes "JV" means "Jumbo Visma", and sometimes it means "Jonas Vingegaard" (and sometimes it means "Jonathan Vaughters"...)

That's possible, but then it wouldn't be ironic.Maybe they would have snatched more as Alaphilippe would have done worse without help.
Sometimes people say "LS" to reference Lotto-Soudal and I read things like "LS will be going all out for a sprint today" or "LS backing Caleb Ewan all the way" and since a lot of people abbreviate my username I sometimes think "no I'm goddamned not".Do you have any idea how confusing it is that sometimes "JV" means "Jumbo Visma", and sometimes it means "Jonas Vingegaard" (and sometimes it means "Jonathan Vaughters"...)
I think Jumbo will use Roglic to ram other riders off the road. Yesterday it was Vinnie but he looks like their leader now.Even if he's fit I think Jumbo will just ride for JV now but maybe give Roglic freedom to join / mark an early attack from someone like Bilbao/Izagirre if he was feeling good enough

Mechanic: So then you can actually take off the whole wheel!
Vlasov: Ah, interesting, makes sense now

I hope so . He deserves it. But it is unlikelyPello Bilbao will win this bike race.

Nothing hugely interesting early it seems - a couple of names that could be useful for GC but feels like a very stage hunty collection of riders.
Formolo
Rodríguez
Gallopin
+0:25
Azparren
Oliveira
+1:10
Combaud
Arrieta
Kämna
Houle
Elissonde
Grmay
Madrazo
Yeah, with the status on the road, it will be down to the pacing of Ineos in the peloton. Oliveira (MOV) and Kämna (BOH) are the only GC helpers in the break. Gap is 3'40''.probably, yeah. But in the pre-stage interview, Bilbao just said that he doesn't plan to do any early attacks, but today wants to wait for the final climb instead.
